Here's an anecdote from the away match against Morley Village. We were batting. Their fast bowler had a very long and intimidating run-up but pulled up just before the crease. He apologised to the umpire saying (in a broad Norfolk accent) 'Sorry, but I started from the wrong turd......!'

The wicket was fenced off during the week but the rest of the pitch was grazed by cows!

The rest of the Morley Village team fielders marked their fielding positions with bottles of beer. That's the way cricket should be played. We won the match.
